The SCM and IBTS invited Prof. Hong Zhou, the associate professor from the University of Sydney, to deliver a lecture on the role of osteoblasts in Rheumatoid Arthritis.

Prof. Hong Zhou,  Associate Professor from the University of Sydney, was invited by Prof. Aiping Lu (Dean of SCM and Director of IBTS) and Dr. Ge Zhang (Deputy Director of IBTS) to visit the institute on November 20, 2012. During the visiting, Prof. Zhou delivered a lecture on the topic of ‘osteoblasts play a central role in modulating the immune-mediated inflammatory via a glucocorticoid-dependent pathway’. After that, Dr. Zhang made a brief introduction of the institute and the team’s up-to-date scientific work. In addition, Prof. Lu and Prof. Zhou were seeking to establish further cooperation on the basic research of rheumatoid arthritis.
