The Sixth Sino-American Symposium on Clinical and Translational Medicine (SAS-CTM) jointly organized by the Scientific Committee of SAS-CTM and China International Medical Foundation was held in Hangzhou, China, at June 20-21, 2015. Liang Chao’s excellent research paper on translational medicine in bone and joint diseases won "Clinical and Translational Medicine Best Thesis Awards" at the Symposium.
The work titled “Discovery of Small Molecules to Promote BMP Signaling and Bone Formation” introduced a natural product, which could inhibit the function of Smurf1 and promote the BMP signaling responsiveness and bone formation.
